BANIGALA ENCLAVE

Banigala today, is widely regarded as the elitist locality of Islamabad, boasting some of the nation’s most notable personalities from high profile politicians, ministers, parliamentarians and renowned businessmen. ABAD

One of the most active and vocal trade organizations of today, the Association of Builders and Developers (ABAD) was founded in the offices of Hasan Associates. Its founding Chairman remained associated with the organization for 20 years and was elected to the top post, unanimously, several times. In his capacity as Chairman he organized the association and took it to Pinnacle. Under his Chairmanship, ABAD sponsored an international seminar Shelter for the Homeless. Government of Pakistan and United Nation were co-sponsors. To this day, never has a such a high-profiled seminar taken place in Pakistan which was inaugurated by the President of Pakistan, and addressed by His Highness The Aga Khan, the Deputy Secretary General UN and esteemed housing ministers of various countries besides other prominent experts on the subject.

Under his chairmanship, the National Housing Policy was drafted jointly by the Government of Pakistan and ABAD, before being formalized and announced by the Government. Housing was officially declared as an industry. The Building Control Act was also drafted in that same tenure.

In his capacity as Chairman ABAD, he acquired 6000 Square Yards land adjacent to Safari Park, to build the stunning ABAD house single-handedly, a residence worthy of the office of ABAD. All of these were simply an expression of his devotion to the cause of ABAD, a contribution that few could boast no matter which fields they were in. Shamsuddin Ebrahim, Vice Chairman ABAD, played a vital role in the construction of ABAD House.
